Dr. Mark Hyman from UltraWellness Talks About Dairy

To question the benefits of drinking milk or eating dairy products in America is like questioning motherhood, apple pie and baseball. It just isn’t done. Dr. Mark Hyman, in this video talks about 6 reasons you should avoid dairy at all costs.

Walter C. Willett, M.D., is chair of the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has written the book Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy.  In it he provides alternative — and antidotal evidence — to the flawed new USDA Pyramid. He is not afraid to debunk some ideas and myths that we have grown up thinking are the truth about nutrition.

“Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy is the best book on nutrition for the general public I have read to date. Dr. Willett is not afraid…to criticize some sacred cows — including the USDA’s food pyramid. I urge you to buy this book and read it for yourself; it will be well worth your time.”

Dairy May Be Unhealthy

The Federal Trade Commission recently asked the USDA to substantiate the claims they made in their Milk Mustache campaign. Do they have proof – No!

  1. Milk does not improve sports performance.
  2. There is no evidence that milk prevents osteoporosis or benefits bone health.
  3. There are links to prostrate cancer from dairy consumption.
  4. The saturated fatty acids in milk can lead to heart disease.
  5. Many people are lactose intolerant so dairy products cause digestive problems.
  6. Dairy aggravates irritable bowel syndrome.
Above are 6 reasons why dairy may be unhealthy for you. I have not read Dr. Walter Willett’s book but inside you will find eye-opening research on the healthiest fats, proteins and carbohydrates. You will learn why weight control is still the single most important factor to maintain a happy, fit and healthy self. This book includes menu plans and recipes that make reinventing your diet easy.
